About Moraira

Teulada-Moraira, is a municipal area in the province of Alicante. It is 120 kilometres from Valencia and 80 kilometres from the city of Alicante both of which are easy to reach via the N-332 national road or the AP7 motorway (exit 63). Teulada-Moraira is accessible by car, bus (Alicante-Valencia line) and train (Denia-Alicante line).

The municipality falls within the Marina Alta district, which also includes neighbouring towns El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Benissa and Gata de Gorgos. Teulada-Moraira currently has a population of around 14,000.

The climate is typically Mediterranean with a year-round mean temperature of 18C.

At 185 metres above sea level, eight kilometres from the coast and covering a total area of 32 square kilometres, this municipal area has two town centres, Teulada and Moraira. The remainder of the municipal area is covered by low-rise developments which together create a garden-city of detached homes occupied by local residents and by the numerous visitors who choose to spend their holidays in this magnificent setting.
